Ashley and Joseph’s wedding day was one of those days I’ll never forget, and not just because it was absolutely stunning, but because Ashley has been a part of my life since elementary school! Getting to document her marrying the love of her life felt deeply personal and incredibly special. She is one of those people who would truly give you the shirt off her back, and watching her step into this next chapter surrounded by so much love and joy was such a gift.

They celebrated their wedding at the gorgeous Merrell Estate and Gardens, and while the forecast called for thunderstorms right at ceremony time, we were all holding our breath and praying… and not a single raindrop fell! Instead, it turned into the most perfect breezy spring day on the coast. . .exactly what Ashley had hoped for.

Some of my favorite parts of the day included the first touch under the palms, where Ashley and Joseph shared their handwritten vows. It was such a tender and emotional moment—both of them fighting back tears as they promised forever to one another. You could feel the deep love and connection between them, and it made for the most heartfelt start to their ceremony.

After they said “I do,” we headed into the reception where Band of Oz kept the energy high and the dance floor full all night long! Ashley and Joseph were surrounded by the most incredible support system, and the joy in the room was contagious. We ended the night with a bubble exit and the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen!

Ashley and Joseph, thank you for trusting me to be part of your day. I’m so excited for you two and all that’s ahead!
