When I'm not in the Chik-fil-A drive thru, with my family or petting a stranger's puppy, I'm capturing images of the sweetest Southern love I can find. Here's a peek at the work I love to do and the people who don't make it feel like work at all.
This day was unlike my typical wedding day because it was a family wedding! I spent more time on the sidelines than behind the camera, which allowed me to soak in all the sweet, intimate moments and truly enjoy the day as both a guest and photographer. Holly has been part of our lives for years, and it was so special to finally make things official.
We started the morning at my house with Bojangles biscuits while everyone got their hair and makeup done. It was a relaxed morning—some even took naps while waiting for their turn (wedding days can be long for the bridal party!). We had Chick-fil-A for lunch before heading to the venue, where everyone got dressed.
The first looks brought tears to my eyes, even from behind the camera. We started with Holly’s dad, followed by Caleb. They decided to share their private vows during their first look, which gave us two beautiful opportunities for bride and groom portraits.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the weather was perfect! My favorite part was when their parents were asked to pray over them—it was such a meaningful moment. We danced the night away and ended the celebration with a fun glow stick exit, sending them off in style!
Enjoy some of my favorite captures from this unforgettable day!
