When I'm not in the Chik-fil-A drive thru, with my family or petting a stranger's puppy, I'm capturing images of the sweetest Southern love I can find. Here's a peek at the work I love to do and the people who don't make it feel like work at all.
“We’re not great at the picture taking thing.” This was one of the first things Caitlyn said to me when we met for her and Josh’s engagement session. As you can see this is not the case and they are professionals now.
My favorite part about capturing a bride and groom’s big day is all the moments leading up to it. I find myself getting excited when they have their final dress try-on, bridal shower, pick up their marriage license, bachelor/ette trips, and the lists go on. Caitlyn and Josh were no exception. I felt right at home with this couple and I am so thankful I was able to work with them this past year.
Their wedding made all of my southern photographer dreams come true! They were married in a little white church that they grew up in and it fit them so well. When I pulled up that morning men were outside tidying the church yard, local florist were busy at work, the grooms aunt was keeping everyone on time, and I felt like everyone was just so thrilled the day was finally here. I fit right into the wedded bliss and it was a day we will never live down!
Cheers to the Gerrell’s!!!
