Take Flight Workshop
Hey friend, I see you over there... dipping your toes into the photography pond, and continuing to work your 9-5. Believe me, I know how hard it is to get started in this industry, especially when your photography knowledge is limited. LET ME HELP! Take Flight Workshop is the perfect introduction to all things posing, lighting, editing, marketing, you name it! This limited opportunity is right in front of you.... all you have to do is snatch it!
I did a mentoring session with Payton at the beginning of January! She was able to offer sooo much help and direction. We talked about the steps I needed to take to take my business full-time. She helped me create a strategic plan for posting on social media, which has always been a struggle for me. Payton helped me organize my workflows and we also worked on indoor camera settings. I was able to get her opinion on editing and what to look for in slight adjustment that helped my work tremendously. We talked about getting a website up and going and I am most excited about that! I have wanted to do that for so long and Payton helped me get in contact with the right person that could help me get it going! Overall, in two hours we covered SO much and had a game plan for the future!

Take flight workshop agenda
We'll start the day early, with an array of snacks and refreshments. This will be a time to clear your mind, mingle with other participants, eat, drink, and focus on what you want to get out of Take Flight.
9 am
After everyone's had a chance to catch their breath, we'll gather and begin the presentation. The main focus of our guided education will be business strategy, social media marketing, and all things posing/editing/etc. A personalized workbook will be provided for sake of taking notes.

Following the guided education session, we'll break for a catered lunch. During the meal, participants will be given ample opportunity to ask any questions regarding photography or the material covered in the education session.

Lunch / Q & A
Professional headshots immediately following the Lunch/Q&A will offer participants a first step in molding their brand. After all, half of your business is YOU! Shortly after headshots, we'll transition into a practice couple shoot. Each participant will learn hands-on how to arrange camera settings, pose clients, work with lighting, etc.
Headshots & Mock Shoot
2:30-4 pm
After the live example shoot, we will gather again for an editing presentation using the images taken. This will be a time for participants to develop their "photography eye," by familiarizing themselves with Adobe Lightroom and all of it's hidden features and settings. We'll close our workshop with a special treat and address any additional questions.

I wanted this workshop to feel cozy for everyone, so I decided to host it in a brand new local air bnb in Downtown Goldsboro! It is so precious and I can't wait for you guys to see it!

Do I need to bring anything with me?
I recommend bringing your camera equipment with you, as we will be learning hands on all day! I will be able to hold your camera and help you with specific struggles. You can also bring your laptop!!
Will there be food?
Ummm, YESSS! Food will always be a factor if I am involved! Who's excited about this?! I get pumped for the food part!!
How should I dress?
We will be taking fun branding headshots, so I recommend dressing cuteeee! I will more than likely be in a comfy dress because third trimester and summer heat problems! I say comfy and cute, but you do you boo!
How many people will be attending?
I am only opening up 10 spots for event! I wanted to keep it small and cozy for everyone! I want you to leave knowing 9 new besties that you didn't know before!
What can I look forward to learning?
Nothing is off limits, but I will have a guided education portion where we will cover basic camera settings (learning how to shoot in manual), lighting examples, marketing, posing, instagram posting hacks, and so much more!! I am going to pack as much into those 7 hours!
