Summer and Steven had the most beautiful wedding day! It was one that perfectly captured their story and the love that’s grown between them over the past seven years. The day began with soft overcast skies, but by the time we reached the ceremony, the sun was shining bright and warm. (Their Biltmore engagement session last spring prepared us well for these summery temps. . .we were ready for anything!)

This day had been a long time coming. Summer and Steven have always known they were meant for each other, but after years of dating and surviving the challenge of planning a wedding while Summer was finishing PA school, it was finally their time to make it official. Everything came together so seamlessly—you never would’ve known the bride was balancing both school and wedding planning like a total pro.

Some of my favorite parts of the day were the first looks and gift exchanges. (Let’s be honest, first looks always get me lately!) Summer shared a first look with her dad and also with Austin, a lifelong friend. His reaction was so genuine and heartfelt. . . it was such a meaningful moment. What stood out even more was how thoughtful Summer was in making sure every person close to her felt seen. She gave gifts to everyone important to her, and we captured each person opening them. Now, she’ll always be able to look back on those moments and remember how special they were.

The celebration continued into the night as guests danced and mingled in the outdoor spaces under the summer sky. It was the perfect ending to a day full of joy, warmth, and long-awaited promises.
