I know how surreal it feels to be searching for wedding vendors, calling someone your fiancé, and looking down to stare at the new bling on your finger. First off, can I tell you how excited I am for you? Take a deep breath, soak in these moments with your fiancé, and cherish it. This time is fleeting and I know you're excited to become husband and wife, but this season is important, too.
I know how all this works because I went through it myself when I was planning my wedding in 2020. Now that I've given you a little advice, let's dive in! I'm going to show you around a bit and tell you exactly what my process as a PHP Bride and Groom looks like.
I'm payton, the girl behind the camera!
My goal is to serve you like you're my best friend. If I'm going to do this, I should probably get to know you a little more! This is my favorite part of the process because it's where we get to chat about YOU. First, I'll send over a questionnaire that will give me the basics and then we'll hop on a call. We'll talk about all the fun things like how he proposed, what date you picked, and of course, your dog!

YAY, you're almost officially official and I'm doing a happy dance right about now! I'm so excited to welcome you with open arms. I'll send over information as we start the process. The first thing I'll need to know is the package you decided to go with. If you're unsure which one fits your needs best, we can chat to see what makes the most sense for your budget and dreams. Then I'll send over my Bridal Guide, which has so much goodness to walk you through this season.

I know you have a Pinterest board full of all the visions you have for this session. I'm here to make them come to life! The best part is my Bridal Guide will walk you through this entire process step by step. It includes things like how to pick a location, decide what to wear, what month to do your photo shoot, and the list goes on and on!
Planning your engagement session

We're getting so close to the BIG day! You have your dress alterations made, bling accessories bought, and now we need to schedule your bridals! This is a southern bride's dream, right? These are perfect for a trial run for the wedding day. You get to be pampered and it is all about YOU, without the stress of an actual wedding. The best part about it is, you'll have a beautiful framed heirloom to sit out at the reception and then hang on your wall for a lifetime.

We're ONE month away from you marrying your best friend in front of your friends and family. Excitement is settling in and I can hear it in your voice. We'll hop on a call and design your timeline together. That's right... I have the schedule of your big day in my back pocket. I make sure we utilize all our time in all the right places. We'll walk through this together to ensure the best results. This timeline can be shared with all the vendors, so the day runs smoothly!

I can finally work my magic and you get to sit back and enjoy the day surrounded by the most important people in your life. This day flies by, but I ensure you can look back at your gallery 10 years from now and still get all the butterflies. Alright, let's do this! I'm so excited to share your entire wedding story with you! You get to watch your wedding unfold moment by moment. Don't be surprised if there's a few happy tears! I once took a photo of a bride as she looked through her wedding album; she had mascara stained cheeks and her exact words to me were, "I'm crying tears of joy. I feel like I'm watching a fairytale lifetime movie". This warmed my heart and reminded me why I do what I do!

There are not enough nice words to say about Payton and how fantastic she is as a wedding photographer. From the very first contact I had with Payton, she was very prompt in responding to my emails/phone calls. Not to mention she is patient, understanding and very accommodating. She was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She took plenty of special candid shots while also ensuring we had photos of all of our families and friends to look back on. Every time we look at our images we are reminded of the emotion, the laughs and fun of our big day. Having Payton as my photographer throughout my whole wedding process was great! For starters my engagement pictures were fabulous. I still find myself posting them to social media months after they were taken! I am known for being OCD at times and so I thought I had everything planned until it came time for me to take my bridals and I had no idea where to have them. Payton was great about telling me where to find some and even giving recommendations to ensure I got everything I wanted out of them which made a stressful bride have some relief! On the wedding day Payton was 100% on top of everything! She even beat me to my own wedding venue and started before I even arrived lol Throughout the whole wedding day I was so anxious about getting all the important memories from that day to ensure that I would have some pictures to look back on and relieve my day but I got more than what I was hoping for! I don’t even know where to begin with Payton. She made everything 10 times easier with me not having a clue what I needed or even wanted. I didn’t have to worry about a thing when it came to photos. She made sure everyone was positioned right and comfortable with every pose she offered. I didn’t feel like anyone was left out of the memories. She did wonderful on capturing every single moment. She arrived early to make sure everything was set and ready for her to work her magic which was a huge plus for me, and was fully prepared for any obstacle that was faced that day and turned it into something that felt like it was planned. Payton worked the whole entire night and didn’t stop until the reception was over and i couldn’t thank her enough for that!
