When I'm not in the Chik-fil-A drive thru, with my family or petting a stranger's puppy, I'm capturing images of the sweetest Southern love I can find. Here's a peek at the work I love to do and the people who don't make it feel like work at all.
From the very start, I knew Paige and Zach’s wedding day was going to be special! I normally wouldn’t work on my birthday weekend, but during our first call, Paige told me she’d do whatever it took to make sure I could be there for her big day. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by confetti poppers and a chorus of her friends singing “Happy Birthday” to me—I’ve never felt more loved on someone else’s wedding day! It just goes to show how special Paige and Zach are. They are genuinely happy, in love, and always putting others first.
The day began with everyone getting ready in the beautiful home on the property. You could hear the excitement and giddy chatter throughout the house as they prepared for the first looks. Meanwhile, the guys were upstairs playing pool and watching college football (because their wedding weekend also marked the start of the season!). We ended up doing the most first looks I’ve ever had at a wedding, but each one was worth it. There were tears, laughter, and squeals of excitement as everyone saw Paige in her dream dress for the first time.
Because we did so many first looks, we had knocked out most of the photos ahead of time, leaving us with extra time to relax. We even got some family photos done before the ceremony, which is always a win. The ceremony took place in a gorgeous wooded area on the property, with Paige’s brother officiating, making it both fun and interactive for the guests.
During cocktail hour, Paige and Zach took a private moment to eat dinner in the home while their guests mingled. Afterward, they came back out to personally release each table, taking time to hug and chat with everyone. This was easily one of my top five favorite things I’ve ever seen done at a wedding!
We danced the night away, and there was even a special guest who joined Paige and her father-in-law on the dance floor. I truly couldn’t have hand-picked a better couple than Paige and Zach to celebrate with. Enjoy some of my favorite moments from their incredible day!
