When I'm not in the Chik-fil-A drive thru, with my family or petting a stranger's puppy, I'm capturing images of the sweetest Southern love I can find. Here's a peek at the work I love to do and the people who don't make it feel like work at all.

Barrow Wedding

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

– Lao Tzu

On the 13th day of March, 2021, Chandler and Kaitlyn finally became Mr. and Mrs. Barrow at Lane Tree Golf Course, like they’d been waiting so long for. As a photographer, we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day. The weather, Kaitlyn’s dress, the beautiful venue set on a sprawling country club – it was all nothing short of magical!

The day started, of course, by getting ready.

And the groom was no exception.

Out of all of the weddings I’ve done, this one contained so many special moments that had even me tearing up behind the camera. For those of you who don’t know, Kaitlyn has a daughter named Paisley and although Chandler isn’t her biological father, they are an incredibly tight knit family. As someone with personal experience in the realm of blended families and step parents, Chandler’s love for Paisley was undeniable. The pictures below captured one of the many special moments that happened on the Barrow’s wedding day. The first is Chandler reading a handwritten note from his little girl, and the other two show Kaitlyn reading a message from Chandler as Paisley looks on. UGHHHH, I cannot get over how cute these pictures are!

After all of this took place, it was time to head into some first look shots with the Mom and Dad!

Of course, we couldn’t forget the rest of the family, including members from team bride and team groom!

And look how absolutely adorable these two are!!! <3

Some detail shots of the venue captured the beautiful aesthetic with hints of a dusty blue and navy color palette.

FINALLY, it was time for Kaitlyn to walk down the aisle!

You could feel the excitement in the air. In these moments, these two were just seconds away from beginning a new life journey with each other!

You may now kiss the bride 😉

Plus some more shots from the ceremony!

And they’re off!

Before we get to the reception, can we please take a moment to appreciate how stinking cute these two are?! I mean seriously, they could be on the cover of a magazine and I wouldn’t think twice!

Now on to the reception, also hosted at Lane Tree Clubhouse! I was able to snag some detail shots of the amazing decor, provided by none other than Wendy Pitman. Mrs. Wendy directs and decorates many of the weddings that I shoot, but man oh man, did she really knock it out of the park with this one. Fun fact, the dusty blue color that Kaitlyn and Chandler chose is one of my favorite colors, and for good reason! Look how pretty the centerpieces are!!

And the cake didn’t disappoint either!

As the bridal party started rolling in, the reception began with a first dance between Kaitlyn and her father. I know I should be used to it by now, considering I shoot a wedding almost every weekend, but those father-daughter dances make me choke up every time. I can’t forget the dance between Kaitlyn and Chandler, and Chandler and his mom though. It was just as incredibly sweet!

If you’re anything like me, the next part caught my attention real quick – THE CAKE CUTTING! Only joking, but seriously, this cake looked so good, so I had to get myself a piece.

And lastly, it wouldn’t be a reception without a little bit of fun! Let’s just say Kaitlyn and Chandler, along with their guests, knew how to get down!

To Kaitlyn and Chandler, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. Kaitlyn, you were the most beautiful bride, inside and out. Your personality was so warm and inviting, and it made it so easy to work with you. Chandler, you are such a gentleman and the way you love Kaitlyn makes me so happy! You two seem like a perfect match and I can’t say thank you enough for your support!

Okay, time for the send off!
